Earlier this year I had the opportunity to explore ipresentonline.com with company founder, Carmen Ferrara. I was impressed with the capabilities, and the look and feel of this LMS. The interface is very current and up-to-date looking, unlike some of the school LMS products I’ve seen which either look cartoony or text-y and old. The design of ipresent will make you think it is a cousin to Google and Facebook. In addition, ipresent is fast and streamlined.

I also appreciate the philosophy of the company in that one of their goals is to make it easy to integrate other online tools you may be using, like Khan Academy videos and Twitter. It definitely combines the capabilities of a traditional LMS with social media learning tools.

iPresent Communications will be at the MassCUE conference this week. This is a somewhat new company in the LMS space. I encourage you to stop by booth #213 and meet Carmen Ferrara and take a look at this product.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I just got back from setting up our booth. It is going to be a great event – I am really looking forward to it.

There’s a lot of innovation in educational technology right now and the MassCUE conference is a great showcase event. Also, as you mentioned in your last post “Navigating the Vendor Exhibit Hall” – I’d like to second your advice to faculty and administrators to engage and ask questions in the vendor area. We don’t bite :] (also I’ll have a nice stash of Hershey Kisses if anyone needs a chocolate jolt – so stop by)

I noticed you are presenting 2 sessions – good luck, I’m sure they will be great. Stop by when you get a chance.
