Film Festival

The White House has sent out a call for student-made videos that highlight the power of technology in schools. More information (including a promo clip by Bill Nye) can be found here:  http://www.whitehouse.gov/filmfestival

This would be a wonderful opportunity for your students to share with the world a product that uses some of their 21st century skills. We have students create such amazing multimedia projects that require them to synthesize a whole set of skills – what better way to applaud their work than to encourage them to enter it in the Film Festival?

On the URL above it says:
We’re looking for videos that highlight the power of technology in schools.
Your film should address at least one of the following themes:

  • How you currently use technology in your classroom or school.
  • The role technology will play in education in the future.

Submissions for the White House film festival will be accepted through January 29, 2014.
I encourage you to submit some student films and show off student tech skills!! Good luck!
