About
My name is Jean Tower and K12EduBuzz.com is my blog. I began my blog in July of 2008 after having been an avid reader of educational blogsĀ for a few years. I hope to use this blog to help form my own personal learning network, as inspired by Will Richardson’s article in on Cue (http://masscue.org/oncue/oncuespring08/BuildingYourOwnPLN.pdf ). I am also interested in participating in the online conversation about technology and education, contributing to the dialog, and connecting with readers and authors of other blogs.
I am a K-12 Technology Director in The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough, a regional school district west of Boston.
You can email me at jeantower@rcn.com.
I am a member of the board of MassCUE , president of the board of METAA , and a member of the Educational Technology Advisory Committee .
About the technical side of the blog ~ I use wordpress, which I downloaded and installed on a hosting site, GoDaddy. I use the Thesis wordpress theme, a premium theme that is not free. I chose it for its versatility, readability, and SUPPORT (an awesome concept). The header imageĀ was designed by a designer friend, Boyd Hill. Boyd combined the images of the earth from outer space, with the digital numbers swooping in, and the title of my blog. If you are interested in his design work, email me and I will forward to him.

Looks great! I’m looking into the same kind of thing. I’ve been using Blogger just as a start – But I’ve heard good things about GoDaddy, I’ll get back to you if I have more questions…
